Bereavement

The Bereavement Ministry is an intrinsically rewarding ministry as it provides services of prayer and food to comfort the families of deceased parishioners. At a very personal and painful time for the families, we are there to extend prayer, fellowship and nourishment to them.

We have a list of members who are called when a parishioner has died and asked to attend the prayer service at the funeral home and the mass if possible.

We also have volunteers who make calls to obtain food donations. The food is brought to the funeral home on the day of the prayer service.

In order to provide these services, we have two lists of phone volunteers, and two list of members who come to the services or will volunteer to bring food to the funeral homes.

We are always open to new volunteers to help in any of these areas.
