2026 Summer Reading

The 2026 Summer Reading List is as follows:

I‍ncoming K - 2 will choose a book of their choice. ‍‍ ‍

Incoming 3rd graders will choose one of the following books:

• ‍Third Grade Angels by Jerry Spinelli

• The Boxcar Children Book No. 1 by Gertrude Chandler Warner

• How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell

• Clementine by Sara Pennypacker ‍ ‍

Incoming 4th graders will choose one of the following books:

• Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt

• The BFG by Roald Dahl

• ‍Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech

‍ Incoming 5th graders will choose one of the following books:

• ‍ ‍Wish by Barbara O'Conner

• The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

• The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits and a Very Interesting Boy by Joanne Birdsall

‍ Incoming 6th/7th/8th graders will read the same book:

• ‍ Restart by Gordon Korman
