Social Concerns & Outreach

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? James 2:14

Holy Spirit Parish supports several charitable and missionary efforts of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, such as the Campaign for Human Development, Retired Religious, and Catholic World Missions. The parish also supports local charitable efforts such as the Crusade for Children, the Catholic Education Foundation, and United Crescent Hill Ministries. Within the parish, Holy Spirit provides tuition assistance to parish families for both high school and grade school students.

Holy Spirit Parish School students in grades Pre-K through eight participate in several outreach projects during the school year. These projects benefit several local organizations that work with many groups including the homeless, veterans, and refugee families.

Note: If there is a program you are interested in presenting to the parish to add, please contact Jim Ackerson at ackersonjim@gmail.com.
