History

Holy Spirit School was established in 1937. It has undergone a recent seven million dollar renovation and building program.

The parish's mission is to form members in the Catholic tradition. The school continues that mission, not only by formation of students in the faith, but academically preparing them for life through a Christ-centered environment and curriculum. Financially, the school is supported by parish stewardship income. Each member of the parish makes a pledge to support the mission of the parish.

The faculty consists of a counselor, seventeen homeroom teachers, six special area teachers for Spanish, Music, Art, Physical Education, Library and Computer and three teacher assistants.

The philosophy of the school states: "We believe that all children are born with unique gifts from God." It is believed children have a curiosity and desire to learn, learn at different rates and learn more effectively when actively involved. We believe children learn by taking risks and making mistakes in a positive environment. We promote self-direction and critical thinking so students will be better able to deal with the variety of life experiences they will encounter.
